Patient Participation Group
What is a PPG?
We want to ensure that patients, their families, and carers are represented and heard at all stages of their care and experience with the practice.
Patient Participation Groups (PPGs) are made up of volunteer patients, the practice manager, one or more of the GPs and other members of staff. The group meets on a regular basis to discuss the services we offer and explore how improvements can be made for the benefit of both patients and the practice.
Through the PPG, we aim to share information, provide updates, and work collaboratively with patients on service developments. This helps us ensure we are delivering care that meets individual needs and supports a positive patient experience.
We will hold PPG meetings quarterly (4 times a year) both face to face and online, and will also share relevant updates and information between meetings where appropriate.
The PPG is not a forum for discussing individual patient concerns. We have a separate process in place to support patients who wish to raise a concern or share a compliment.
